Under the wings of longtime journalist, Joni Strandquest, EaglesQuest Media was formed in May 2008 after her relocation from the southeast to the midwest U.S.
An Atlanta to Minneapolis transplant, Joni has more than 20 years of experience in media relations, marketing, corporate communication, video production and feature writing in health and medicine, the arts, business, lifestyle and travel. A member of the World Religious Travel Association, American Academy of Religion, and American Occupational Therapy Association her bylines and placements have appeared in outlets that include: USA Today , ABC News (Sinclair Broadcasting), WAGA (Fox), the Minneapolis StarTribune, The Wine Report, Le Cri Du Coyote (France), Animation World News, Atlanta Style and Design, Knoxville City View, Atlanta Woman Magazine, Atlanta Business Chronicle, Asheville Citizen Times, DogGone Travel and Points North Magazine.
She received a scholarship to study Biomedical Technology at Anoka Ramsey Community College in Coon Rapids, MN.
In 2010, for her work on campus and in the community, she was honored with a State of Minnesota Presidential Leadership Award through Minnesota Campus Compact.
Joni attained her B.S. in Business Management and Leadership Studies from Shorter College in Rome, GA and also holds certification in Entertainment Promotion and Video Production through the Music Business Institute/ Art Institute of Atlanta. Joni will receive her Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Minnesota's Center for Allied Health Professions in 2013. She writes part-time out of love, not necessity -- with a focus on transformative travel experiences, health and medical topics, business and lifestyle/tourism.
